From Sutjeska National park to Mostar

After a healthy light cheese omelette in the hotel we started our trip towards Mostar - a 120 km drive.

We still passed some great sceneries of the national park and had a swimming stop at a hydro dam close to Gacko, which was a pleasant cool experience at 40 degrees...

Okay, not too much has changed at the closer look...

The famous cow highways enable the animals to reach their most beloved grazing grounds much faster

The arid highlands of Herzegovina 

When we drove down into the valley the car thermometer showed 42 degrees - what a pleasant temperature for sightseeing 

So we have done the only right thing - choose a place with a pool - what else

The wounds of the war are still visible throughout the city...

New at the bottom - destroyed at the top

Bullet holes still visible in the walls 

But the beauty makes you forget this fast

Tourist industry has hit the town
