Towards Banja Luka

We were a bit too tired for a blog entry last night arriving finally late at Banja Luka in the evening - yes we made it - smile
Konstanze woke up early in the morning as you can see capturing the magnificent view from our balcony
After our delicious breakfast - heavy omelet with bacon and cheese - already the need for a vodka in the morning - we took another start espresso in our beloved cafe aside the river

Dogs were already sunbathing on the bridge and in the background you can figure out Markus at his first morning coffee in front of our hotel.
Beside it had already about 30 degrees and it got even hotter.

We started with driving overland towards Sanski Most stopping at the Bliha waterfall a true impressive drop of 58 meters..

Not quite bathing temperature reached ....

We continued on a dust road through the Sana gorge resting beside the river on a beautiful spot

The a spring was creating underground sand vulcanos

Pretty impressive when the water just emerges out of the ground ....

Kljuc, nestled between high rocks towering a castle was our next stop

Together with a good swim in the Sana, okay it was more a up to the belly dive in due to the temperature ...
We continued over the highlands (800 m above seal level - smile) towards Baja Luka

The Bosnia all terrain lawn cutter

Before we finally reached Banja Luka

This part of Bosnia belongs to the republica Serbska and hence you do not see any national Bosnia flag any more but only Serbian flags and t shirts of distinct Serbian origin. Pretty strange in a independent state showing an identity of the neighbouring country !!!!!

And the addiction to Russia ....
Good night in Banja Luka, the capital of republica Serbska.......The contract of Dayton may have drawn new boarders on the map but not in the head of the people....
