From Bihac to Bania Luka - but not the whole way

Our plans for today were to end up in Bania Luka but we did not ....
Well we started after a late breakfast - it is still holiday so that's alright - towards Bosanska Krupa stopping in Ostrozac with the nice castle overlooking the una river and a sculpture garden within its compounds

The una river flows right below in a nice gorge

Right beside the river the all international basketball - table tennis championships were carried out for a long time - but since the rules are so complex playing two kinds of sports in one tournament - the games were stopped 5 years ago - but the famous enough place still exists

After that we reached the sleepy town of Bosanska Krupa with a picturesque castle and the river that forms the heart of the town...

But the most important place here is an old water mill, now a little Bar where you can sit directly above the water, hold siesta and catch the river moods.

Ducks-Siesta

After local investigations we decided to spent the night here rather than in Bania Luka and do a cosy 17 km hike to the spring of the Krusnica river - it literally runs out of a mountain - pretty impressive I have to say ...

The spring of the river or better the outflow of the river....

After our return to town the was a memorial boat run for the Sebrenica genocide on the una with lots of boats and nationalism

The view of our balcony

After a minute of memorial flowers where thrown into the water, after that some memorial
bridge jumps...

We did not shop at the sec❤️ond hand shop and did not play bingo

Nor did we compete on the local show off to park your car a the most exceptional places without handrail

But we finished off the day at a cosy restaurant close to the una river and hope we make it to Bania Luka tomorrow - will see....
